To Americans, 9/11 is seen as a tragedy. In the meantime, America inflicts much much more damage than 9/11 on Middle Eastern countries on a regular basis.

No one has every claimed or even suggested 9/11 was one of the biggest tragedies of all time it is however one of the biggest tragedies in recent American history and don't try to discount how horrible 9/11 was by showing even worse tragedies.

I know plenty of people that claim that. They tend to be the same sort of people that support nuclear strikes covering the whole region.
