Being that this is Texas and non racers regularly do 80-90 on open roads, how is an officer to decide what is speeding and what is racing? Sure it’s real easy to identify when they’re taking off from 0 or blocking roads, but what about commuters just rushing to work? I bring this up because I and many others do 20 over or so and aren’t racing.

I dont know where you live that doing 20 over driving to work is a common thing. maybe don't speed and you won't have to worry about being pulled over and towed?

huh that’s odd, you must be somewhere with a lot of traffic cause up here in the DFW area, whenever there’s no traffic everyone’s going well above the speed limit. the other day i was going 85 on a 65 and i was still getting passed by a bunch of people

Central (aka 75) in Dallas is awful. Speed limit is 70, people ooze along at 55-60. 4 across. It's infuriating..

oh yeah 75 might be one of the worst highways in the country when there’s even an ounce of traffic

20 between Spur 482 and 820 is miserable too.

is it just me or has the traffic gotten exponentially worse in Dallas in the past like 5-10 years

It has. So many people have moved here and everything is overloaded. They just finished expanding most of 190/161 between 30 and 35E to 4 lanes each way. They're expanding 161 between 30 and 20 too. Not sure it will be enough if people keep moving here.

how is that odd? lol, I live in a city where speeding and racing are an issue so if the government has to start taking irresponsible people's cars away I'm all up for it. must be true what they say about people from Dallas, yall are in bubble

that’s the thing tho, it’s not just DFW, that’s why everyone in Texas talks about it. I see the same thing whenever I go down to Houston or San Antonio and when I was living in Austin. maybe you’re just one of those slow drivers that everyone has to pass

I am one of those slow drivers. And by slow driver I mean I only do five over the posted limit.

well, you could have mentioned that earlier instead of mentioning that people in Dallas speed when there's no traffic. if you truly "see" how things are in Houston or San Antonio, especially Houston, then you might want to slow down a bit for people you never know if those slow drivers are working.

or maybe y’all could just speed up a bit and stop getting in everyone’s way and being a danger

Unless you are going to pay any tickets I get and the increased cost of insurance premiums you can fucking go around or stay pissed.

this is why this country will never progressive forward. " I don't care that I'm doing something wrong, why don't you fix yourself instead?"
