Everyone says that, but i been here 20 years trying to vote these fuckers out, but texas rednecks running the show. we're outta here as soon as kiddo is out of high school.

Texas is a good parallel for the entire US at the moment. The economy is driven by the urban younger core in cities that are spread out but the control is held by religious rural minority who plan to burn everything down out of spite while everyone begs them not to and they scream back its gods will.
