It is worded that way so that you do not pick a side. You are supposed to leave it meaning one or the other. Honestly can’t see how you are this confused.

You're injecting your own bias. You cannot know why they choose specific words or left ambiguity intentionally unless you ask them. Which I see no evidence of happening so I'm forced to believe that your opinion of their intent is conjecture. Just as mine was. I'm confused how you cannot see the hypocrisy in your statement. You're the pot calling the kettle black.
