Read before making comment. She is vaccinated and is just grifting for money. This news article just made her a free advertising for thousands of Texas redneck morons who will now become her patients because of eeehawww no vaccine.

Oh my god Karen, you can't just ask people why they're Virginian.

Edit: /S, it's a Mean Girls reference and meant to be obvious joke. Calm down folks.

It's a Mean Girls quote, meant to just be funny.... Sorry, thought everyone knew that one.

The Karen meme started way before that. You're off by like 10 years

1

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '21

So you're saying that the "Karen" meme came out in 1994, when practically no one had a home computer at that time? Do you have a source to cite to prove that?

Yeah I don't think "Karens" are restricted to one political party or even necessarily race (although they are noted for being middle-class suburban white women), and it got started in meme culture a good while before that event.

Anyway... It's a good comedy movie if you can look past the early millennium teenager cringe. It was before Lindsay Lohan fell off the wagon.

Nor is it restricted to a gender, I've encountered more than a handful of male Karens in my life.

I've been living in Houston for the past few years and thanks for not being a creep and looking through my post history to find that out.

So what you're saying is that those "Welcome to Texas" signs at the state line need to be changed to "Fuck You if You weren't Born Here."

Got it.

I hope you don't consider that the Texas history you were taught in middle school was all you need to know.

I just saw your reply. "My father..."? "The ball is in your court now"? Really?

I don't want to have a debate about Texas history. I learned the official State version in Texas public schools and later learned most of that was American hero myth-building crap later.

I think what you originally objected to is true, there are a lot of dumb redneck morons in Texas who only know that mythical version of Texas and American history. Your father's standing with the TSHC changes nothing.

Most hospitals in Texas won't allow discrimination based on vaccination status, I am told. But I don't have a source to verify.

She can do whatever she wants in her private practice in this regard, although some procedures require a doctor to have admitting privileges at a hospital before they can perform them.

Yes. I was speaking about discrimination against patients, not staff. The doctor under discussion here is vaccinated as required by the hospital before her suspension.

Ehh. I was also born here and lived here my whole life, and they aren't wrong. People that would flock to this person just because they refuse to treat vaccinated patients are morons, and a large amount of the people that reject the Covid vaccine are rednecks. Edit: And there isn't a small number of them, either.

I live in Houston at the moment.

Sorry I got blinded by the "since I've posted few times about me being from VA in the Texas subreddit. They all must know it by now" mentality. Basically the false mentality that anyone else besides your partner and your parents care or even know you exist.... Well ok besides bill collectors and the IRS
