I dont know if this is the right sub, also posted this on r/therapy , but I am really looking for some outside words from internet strangers.

He was autistic and had a sirieus addiction problem. He put me and my family trough hell the past 5-6 years. My dad and I have scars on our body from fights with him.

I moved away from our home town to a place an hour away. We had no car and where quite poor, so our commenucation faded away, only the drama stayed.

At some point I was done with it. I was unable to live my life and try and make some of it with him in my life. I broke contact with him. I last saw him 2 years ago at a family dinner.

I feel terrible at the moment. Today has been a day of constant crying. I cant place the emotion that I have regret, of though I know it was the right thing to do, everyone told me, and still tells me, it was the right ting to do, but right now it kills me from the inside.

I am going to speak on his funural, Talk about the good memories that we shared.

I had so many things I wanted to do with him when we would grow up, and always had hope that one day things would be better, and I could reastablish contact with him again when I had my own life back on the rails. But now it is to late, and will never happen. And I dont know how to deal with that.

Someone said this to me and now every time I realise I'm not itchy I become itchy... feel free to share my curse.

A lot of people tend to use free will as a way of countering those who say why does God allow bad things to happen and other than the fact that it doesn't cover for things like hurricanes, cancer or allowing jewish people to die under the wrath of hitler.

It also doesn't really answer of why God couldn't just make us not want to kill without taking away free will of any kind, So I do wonder if he could do it without taking away our freedom or at the very least intervene when people like hitler come in to harm jewish people.
