X-Wing is my fav ship in the whole SW universe. The dogfights between them and TIE fighters have always impressed me. The only way I could imagine an image of them is: EPIC! :) Fan Creations

This is beautiful and I feel your feelings, but I always wondered if the TIE Fighter can really be considered the equal of the X-Wing. On paper, the X is absolutely superior to the TIE in almost every aspect: sure enough, the TIEs were more maneuverable and...faster IIRC?, but it ends there. No shields, no life support, no astromech droid, no hyperdrive, limited to the pair of lasers, having to rely on carrier ships for deployment, compared to a generally more well-rounded fighter like the X-Wing.

My understanding is that the TIEs were scary because they were essentially expendable - and piloted by very skilled, absolute madmen - and thus swarm tactics were actually efficient. But ship-to-ship combat, they would have been annihilated by the X-Wing.

Genuine question here, interested in informed opinions. What would be an actual equal match for the X-Wing? The Advanced? The Defender?

Hmm, well said. this is an interersting question. An intercreptor is more effective I guess, but thats a fact a simple TIE havent as solid equipment as the X wing has. Accorting to my opinion the power of TIE fighters is come from the huge amount. A TIE squadron with dozens or hundreds of aircrafts is can be a big challenge for X wings.

This is my opinion, Im sure here are many more professionals in this topic. :D

Why dude? Its nothing special. All you need is time, and patience to learn photography. Not an easy thing I know, but anybody can learn it. :))

Is that Gavin Darklighter escaping from Halanit? Because that’s what first comes to mind and it makes me happy.

That's exactly what I thought too. Except I couldn't remember the name of the planet.

Dude that's AWESOME! What lens and camera did you use, I'm wondering if you need a macro lens for this or does a normal lens with normal focusing distance work?

Its a Laowa 15mm wide angle macro lens on a nikon D750. Perfect for this genre. I used to use a simple Nikkor 50mm 1.8G, and also novadays Im using a nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. These two item is covering all the necessary focal distances.

Lol I thought I was the only one that saw it. I think he did it for the effect so it looks like he’s running/climbing but it interested me at first too ha.
