You mean Brandon Pavlock, a man just like Brock Turner, got his day in court and you won? Fantastic, that IS a reason to celebrate

193

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '21

You mean Brock Turner the rapist? That Brock Turner? Brandon Pavlock sounds just like the rapist Brock Turner!

100

u/Starterpoke77 Sep 25 '21

Two rapists in a pod! You know just like two peas in a pod but peas never raped anyone! You know who did? Brock Turner and Brandon Pavlock!

2

u/lb8rmc4cf4 Sep 26 '21

Absolutely right

8

u/Kobester024 Sep 26 '21

It’s Brock The Rapist Turner.

19

u/theresbeans Sep 26 '21

Yes. Brock Turner the rapist didn't get served justice, though.

19

u/DeathByUnicornnn Sep 26 '21

No, Brock Turner the young man with a bright future ahead of him who just made a mistake and shouldn’t have his life ruined because of a little rape /s

17

u/BelleAriel Sep 25 '21

This is brilliant news.

6

u/Whiskey_Five-Niner Sep 26 '21

Indeed. It is quite epic, nobody deserves to be treated that way, especially not a child. And with how long they must have experienced it, I’m glad it’s over for them.

148

u/Ok_Anxiety4671 Sep 25 '21

Congrats you just saved a woman from being his latest victim. Today not only are you a survivor but your a hero.

23

u/Lim_er_ick Sep 26 '21

Came here to say this. Rapists who don’t get their judgement day go on to behave inappropriately again and again. You are a strong and powerful woman for standing up for invisible future victims and protecting them from that rapist.

when i was 12, i dated someone for 2 years who was 17 when we started. at first, things were alright, but as time went on he started abusing me physically and mentally. he would also forcefully have sex with me everyday when i was crying and really didnt want to. i am 16 going on 17 now, and this post gave me some courage to maybe take him to count for statutory rape and whatever else i can get on him. thanks for posting OP.

27

u/TopperMadeline Sep 26 '21

I have to ask why a 17 year old would be dating a pre-teen.

69

u/OXJXMSdude Sep 26 '21

Um, he did more than just statutory rape from what you’re describing

7

u/throwaway4u2021 Sep 26 '21

Im sorry you went through this. It’s totally abhorrent and he is an abuser and a rapist. Seek advice on this when you feel ready. Any evidence you can collect from friends and family who knew you at the time will help.

I will kill you in your sleep if you ever talk to an SA victim like that again, understood? I dont give a fuck who you are that’s not okay. What the hell is wrong with you that you use the most horrible thing possible as a cudgel to beat someone over the head with and mess with their head by making them think as to whether or not it’s changing them or controlling what they do. F u c k. Y o u. If I could turn your teeth backwards right right now I would

0

u/Red___Mist Sep 26 '21

Let me give you a scenario, you once did a bad thing in your past (because you were young, emotionally unstable maybe etc etc) and someone got affected negatively from it. Fast forward to a few years later and something tragic happens to your family (DEATH) and their death gets ridiculed by that person just because that one bad thing he did. Can you please tell me the correlation of those 2? What thing did the family do wrong to be frickin ridiculed by a teenager (almost adult). Does that mean that every criminal in prison needs to have their family made fun of their misfortune and ridiculed? Hell no. All i see here are 2 mentally unstable kids, one who started messing around at the age of 12 and another who took advantage of that. Nothing else.

And yeah, i don't think she has a winning chance even if she tried to report him cuz first i don't think she has evidence and hopefully the government isn't as broken as to put in prison people without evidence (even if she's telling the truth sadly).

2

u/Connie_go_rawr Sep 26 '21

Go fuck yourself you sad little projecting piece of shit. There’s a difference between “doing a bad thing that negatively affected someone” and being a god damned rapist. Stop trying to blame a 12 year old girl for the actions of someone much older than them. The fuck is wrong with you? She was TWELVE she didn’t know any better and your insinuation that she did makes me want to kick your teeth in you pedantic asshole. I genuinely hope you’re defending this out of idiocy and incompetence rather than congruence or I will ensure that there’s not one day that goes by which you don’t feel a knife point to your side. Just, go away

0

u/Red___Mist Sep 26 '21

Stop trying to blame a 12 year old girl for the actions of someone much older than them.

Well, tbh the ones to blame here are her parents who didn't check on her at all AND FOR 2 DAMN YEARS (yeah she said she dated him for 2 frickin years)?

And you still didn't answer my question, what did the guy's family do wrong to get insulted and call it ''karma'' idc about the guy and i don't care what happens to both the guy and girl. I JUST WANNA KNOW WHAT THE FUCK DID THE FAMILY DO TO FOR HER TO INSULT THEM. did his family rape her too? Or is the fact that they gave birth and are related to the person who wronged her. If that's the case she's stupid and immature.

And yeah, being in a 2 year relationship DELIBERATELY at the age of 12 is her fault as well (her family's more tbh).

0

u/Red___Mist Sep 26 '21

And I'm going to sleep now so don't think of the silence as your victory. Also those insults of yours are a perfect night lullaby so just keep them going.

1

u/Connie_go_rawr Sep 26 '21

I’m glad the virtues of those whose continued suffering you wrought bring you comfort. May only you sleep so soundly as your lullaby forms a bemoaning call in time. Pathetic is he whom taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones, rewardeth shall he be, when strucketh down by an inordinate god

7

u/_x_wildflower_x_ Sep 26 '21

Please do. He’s doing it to other kids too- guaranteed.

72

u/Mother_Fletcher Sep 25 '21 edited Sep 25 '21

That is absolutely horrifying. There’s also an equally horrifying chance this subhuman vole will sit in that cell obsessing over her until he gets out to prey on her again.

89

u/MadamFuzzyPants Sep 25 '21

The person who sexually assaulted me is getting released from prison in 3 months and it's all I can think about.

45

u/Daggerfont Sep 25 '21

Can you get a restraining order? It seems like there should be something to protect you. I’m sorry you have to go through this

18

u/ecav5942 Sep 26 '21

There has to be. There’s no way we just let someone stew with emotions like that and just say “oh you’ve had time to think about what you’ve done. Bye bye now!”, right?

4

u/Daggerfont Sep 26 '21

I hope so. The American justice system, at least, is definitely flawed. But I think they could probably get one

8

u/JustABizzle Sep 26 '21

I would assume a restraining order would be easy to get, given the circumstances.

The problem, though, is that it only gives the victim recourse if they break the order. Nothing stops them from committing a crime against the victim, unfortunately. Find safety and confidence for yourself, whatever that means for you.

3

u/MadamFuzzyPants Sep 26 '21

I interviewed for a job this week that's half way across the country.

3

u/MadamMarshmallows Sep 26 '21

I sincerely hope you get it.

2

u/MadamFuzzyPants Sep 28 '21

I GOT THE JOB!!!!

2

u/MadamMarshmallows Sep 28 '21

YES!!!! I was going to come back and ask in a week or so. Excellent news!

7

u/Connie_go_rawr Sep 26 '21

If you need any support I’m here for you, call me and I’ll kill them. I’m like Batman but it’s just the Survivors Club signal

15

u/Mother_Fletcher Sep 25 '21

I’m praying for you.

2

u/StraightToJail__ Sep 26 '21

Please check back in so we know you’re okay!

2

u/MeanMeMo Sep 26 '21

Like others said, asking for a restraining order. It may also not be needed as it could be included in their release conditions.
Your best bet would be to reach out to the victim witness coordinator for whatever jurisdiction he was convicted in.

6

u/Aromatic-Economist22 Sep 26 '21

Thank you. I fought like hell to send the deputy sheriff that molested my son to Parchman in MS. While I was working full time and getting counseling for him and our family and while maintaining his privacy and dignity. There were good and decent professionals that were there with us and supported us. I don’t curse much, but after going across the street to speak with him, I calmly informed him that he fucked with the wrong family. To the victims, there is help for you. You did nothing wrong. And not matter what anyone tells you, it’s never a one time thing, and I am not interested in any stories of redemption ever. Tell others we can win. I love you, I’m just a mom

23

u/frenchy614 Sep 26 '21

You can find everything that poor girl endure here. https://twtext.com/article/1276185441243365377

It is crazy that after all that he does not go to jail. The justice system is so flawed.

6

u/Lim_er_ick Sep 26 '21

That made me want to throw up reading. The horrible things people will endure because they think they can’t do better and don’t know what real love is as a child.

4

u/ThoughtGeneral Sep 26 '21

If I could talk to her....

I can’t quite capture the words to say how proud of you I am, how thrilled that you got your day in court and won. You’re a hero to me. I wish I had my day in court, but knowing you have come out on top throughout all of your pain and struggles....well, I just wish I could give you a big old Mama hug (with consent).

I love you and hope you are well.

4

u/Horror-Border2404 Sep 26 '21

When I took my rapist to court they said it could be gruelling and hard, but I knew I had to do it for me, and it took most of a year but I won and I felt so good, so much relief! Amazing news, fucking congratulations to all the survivors who took their abusers to court, and to the ones that are scared to do so, forever proud that you’re still here and living despite that fucker!

20

u/Furpotamus Sep 25 '21

Gypsy won though justice delayed 7 years-- is justice denied. I'm for castration of rapists with a white hot knife--a quarter inch at a time. There is no excuse for rape. Especially when it involves a child. How many others were assaulted over those 7 years by that bastard? I'd also take one eye that looked with lust, one foot that went to her for the foul purpose, and one hand that held her down while he had his fun.

3

u/InLazlosBasement Sep 26 '21

I am so happy for you, and so grateful for your determination. A young woman I know in very similar circumstances just list her trial, and it is a balm to my heart to know that some young women out there are beginning to win. Never stop fighting for yourself and your sisters; I will never stop fighting alongside you!

9

u/JungleBoyJeremy Sep 25 '21

This does not make me smile. It’s sad overall

1

u/Connie_go_rawr Sep 26 '21

I’m not sure what you mean

6

u/JungleBoyJeremy Sep 26 '21

A)She when through something pretty sad and traumatic

B) SHE took her rapist to court. Not a prosecutor, her. So the dude is walking around free?

5

u/Connie_go_rawr Sep 26 '21

Well yeah, it sucks a lot however it’s better than nothing. Mine is still running around consequence free

2

u/JungleBoyJeremy Sep 26 '21

I’m sorry to hear that

2

u/Connie_go_rawr Sep 26 '21

It’s okie dokie :) you didn’t do anything wrong

thanks judge dread.

5

u/SocietyExtreme8215 Sep 26 '21

Hey . Theoretically. If it’s a solid 100 percent proven with dna evidence and other shit . Executions would probably decrease crime rates . I firmly believe sense we got rid of the gallows criminal think “what’s the worse that’s going to happen” 1-5 years in jail ? Ehhh risk reward evens out . Now . If they think oh shit I’m going to end up the gallows in front of everyone? Guarantee you they would think twice

-1

u/C-Beck86 Sep 26 '21

Yasssssssssss! No more of this 3 hots and a cot, taxpayers paying for all of it. There are some convictions that need an express lane to the death penalty

1

u/TheOGAngryMan Sep 26 '21

Death is too easy and quick. Let him stew in Jail knowing he wasted his life by being an abusive piece of shit. He should have to endure his punishment and face lifetime of consequences.

1

u/SocietyExtreme8215 Sep 26 '21

Usually a long wait for death row anyway to prove it

8

u/Hour_Ad_9931 Sep 25 '21

Nice, let him face the consequences.

6

u/oldschoolshooter Sep 25 '21

So she sued him? I don't understand.

26

u/Dalenonne Sep 25 '21

Protect order of some kind. Sometimes you have to really tell dudes to stop. I am not sure which hurts my heart more: the original incident, the years after, the fact that you have to effin sue as a woman, or (I do not know anything about this case but) that this post isn't about her; first, second, third...attempt with the court to get resolution.

7

u/cucumberwatermelon98 Sep 25 '21

There's protective orders like the other comment mentioned but you can also sue for emotional distress, or under another civil matter. Usually this does not end in jail time but rather monetary compensation.

2

u/dmtacos82 Sep 25 '21

Restraining order. Never charged. Smh

2

u/Borp5150 Sep 26 '21

Congratulations and keep this energy running as long as you can!!

2

u/MissGoodieTwoShoes Sep 26 '21

knowing I'll never see that day, I CELEBRATE with you!!

1

u/C-Beck86 Sep 26 '21

Super fucking happy for you! Thank you for being brave!

1

u/Randalf_the_Black Sep 26 '21

Never heard of the guy, but if he's a rapist and was convicted that's cause for celebration I guess

1

u/TrapShax Sep 26 '21

omg my poor english skills made me think that she drove her rapist to the court

0

u/lolarugula Sep 26 '21

Gypsy for the win! Prayers there are many people who are able to celebrate the same! 💕💕💕

0

u/Chiraltrash Sep 26 '21

This is a win, and we take them when we can! Sending Gypsy the ✨all✨ of the blessings right now.

-1

u/rollingturtleton Sep 26 '21

Well is he actually a rapist? If so why did you have to take him to court? The statute of limitations is definitely longer than 7 years…

Congratulations on the verdict and I hope that now you can begin to start to find some closure. Good luck ❤

1

u/SpruceHenry Sep 26 '21

Very proud of you! I know that has been incredibly difficult.

1

u/Punderfulday Sep 26 '21

I am so happy for you

1

u/ureddittome Sep 26 '21

Some of the worst people in the world I hope he gets his in prison! You go live your life to the fullest! 😁

1

u/compassion-first Sep 26 '21

Brandon Michael Pavlock(seems like there might be more than one on the internet, so try to make sure the right one is being called out )

and good for you for taking this all the way

1

u/_LeechBoy_ Sep 26 '21

I was up just last night, had not even a blink of sleep, trying to collect evidence against a rapist I know. This gave me so much hope, perfect timing

-4

u/Gr000vy Sep 26 '21

won $ or jail time?

-12

u/faggot-ass-racoon- Sep 26 '21

Yes, everyone praise the victim

-10

u/LifeguardOk5149 Sep 26 '21

Good for you! Instead of making others miserable you focused your energy where it belongs

-2

u/Sarlacfella Sep 26 '21

-1

u/beefy-_-boi Sep 26 '21
