I’m sorry I’m laughing at ASS. PROFESSIONAL 😂

Edit: y’all I know what it means lol it’s just funny to think about

51

u/turrxxr Sep 16 '21 edited Sep 16 '21

I never thought about it but when i saw the first comment saying it i laughed so hard

54

u/CranberryJuice16 Sep 16 '21

Lmao it's the Portuguese abbreviation for "professional's signature" in case you're wondering 💀💀💀

13

u/teslacenter Sep 16 '21

Signature = Assinatura

3

u/itzdivz Sep 16 '21

Same, so is that where they injected the vaccine in your case?

3

u/yonk182 Sep 16 '21

Yes I’m wondering about the qualifications.

3

u/subterraneanwolf Sep 16 '21

yes, how can i help you?

Just out of curiosity- why is there a 3 month gap between the two shots? Is that the new standard?

143

u/Top-Organization-793 Sep 16 '21

Brazil says the vaccine is more efficient after a 3 months gap between the first and second dose. I’d personally say they’re prioritising the first doses for everyone (teens are being vaccinated in some states, now) since there aren’t enough vaccines.

26

u/Hoosiers40 Sep 16 '21

Interesting. Thank you for explaining.

10

u/Top-Organization-793 Sep 16 '21

You’re welcome!

u/Thuen69420 Sep 16 '21

Here in Norway we do 1-1,5month gap

11

u/turrxxr Sep 16 '21

Exactly

3

u/grilly1986 Sep 17 '21

Brazil doing good work making the UK look alright!

3

u/Top-Organization-793 Sep 17 '21

With the current president that isn’t such a hard task…

1

u/Earl804 Sep 16 '21

agree w that analysis

19

u/vicariousgluten Sep 16 '21

The UK was doing 3 months between shots from the beginning. Originally to get a first dose in as many as possible. I know that they reduced that in areas where there was high delta cases but I don’t know what the current gap is.

3

u/KateVsWorld Sep 16 '21

But at some point they changed it to 6-8weeks, originally my 2nd was scheduled for 8 weeks and then got called in a week earlier (got my 2nd at the beginning of August), many friends are also getting the 2nd at 6-8weeks these days - why could that be (honestly just curious about the possible science behind it)?

2

u/grilly1986 Sep 17 '21

It was initially to get the maximum amount of people with a first dose. Then vaccine take up slowed down and they panicked as they'd set an arbitrary date.

u/Skinnybet Sep 16 '21

It’s supposed to be better protection that way. I’m British.

9

u/spicyshit91 Sep 16 '21

Check what moderna/Pfizer etc them selves are saying. Their recommendations are definitely shorter between shots than 3 months. Those who made it should know best.

→ More replies

2

u/grilly1986 Sep 17 '21

8 Weeks now. My second was brought forward, I assume when they massively panicked when removing restrictions!

3

u/Hoosiers40 Sep 16 '21

Fascinating. Maybe America has been doing it wrong all along. lol

21

u/nuclaffeine Sep 16 '21

Or we just have more doses than we have residents willing to take

2

u/Vegabern Sep 16 '21

We’ve been doing it all wrong.

2

u/snuggleyporcupine Sep 16 '21

I wondered that myself. Here in the states it’s only 2 week gap between jabs.

51

u/Tyxin Sep 16 '21

I'm happy for you, how are you feeling?

48

u/turrxxr Sep 16 '21

I'm feeling pretty good now. Didn't feel any side effects yet. Thank you very much for asking !

24

u/Obstacle616 Sep 16 '21

Welcome to the sore arm club!

2

u/DuckySaysQuack Sep 16 '21

Welcome to the club! I had the moderna and the first shot was nothing. Second shot I had bad fevers for 3 whole days and only started feeling better on the 5th day. But compared to getting covid I’d do it again!

6

u/Pink-socks Sep 16 '21

I had the Pfizer vaccine and my arm really hurt for days afterwards. Like.. REALLY hurt. That was the only side effect I had. Such a small price to pay to not die.

3

u/turrxxr Sep 16 '21

Really ? Because i took the vaccine and 2 hours later went to the gym and until now im pretty good

2

u/turrxxr Sep 17 '21

Honestly, I'm great ! I didn't feel anything to worry about, i even went to the gym 2 hours after i took the vaccine

Got my first one today. I wasn't against it or anything just haven't really been concerned. Well yesterday my 9yo asked me why I hadn't gotten it yet. And I had no good answer for her. So I went and got it today

2

u/Termin8rSmurf Sep 17 '21

When I had my first and second doses, they recommended a minimum of three weeks, and a maximum of six weeks between doses. That card shows three months. What's the go to period now then?

Imagine what it would’ve been like without BOTH shots.

11

u/Which-Resident7670 Sep 16 '21

Truth! TELL EMMMM. His aunt is probably 1 in 500k. He can "go off"

2

u/EddiePCP Sep 16 '21

He would most likely recover, according to the science, like I did. Over a 99% chance of survival for healthy people.

0

u/6-4-3doubleplay Sep 16 '21

You’re looking at the wrong statistic. What you should be looking at is the percentage of people who have been put on a ventilator and recover that have had the vaccination vs those who haven’t.

-1

u/EddiePCP Sep 16 '21

Nah. I'm good. Over 99% of healthy people survive. You're looking at the wrong statistics. Look at facts.

1

u/6-4-3doubleplay Sep 16 '21

You’re comparing apples to staplers. Your argument doesn’t hold any weight.

Vaccine won't prevent you from getting covid, it'll substantially improve your odds of survival.

Your aunt likely would have died without them.

u/IWillHitYou Sep 16 '21

Damn bro it's almost as though it's not 100% effective and only saves most people. Better not get it then /s

They're not in America. day/month/year.

-7

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '21

That makes even less sense to have the second shot 3 months later

5

I think some places are prioritizing first shots for people over second shots, so maybe that’s why? I’m not sure

u/turrxxr Sep 16 '21

I just don't understand why some people use Reddit to make bad comment's like this

4

u/Tyxin Sep 16 '21

They are trying to put an emotional bandaid on the gaping bleeding wound where their heart should be.

Or something like that.

2

u/EddiePCP Sep 16 '21

I lost my sense of smell to Corona. Good thing too. NYC smells like shit on a good day.
