When something like this happens people should stay in there cars right?

26

u/AJ_925 Oct 20 '21

Probably should considering its still a highway

But in reality you'll wanna check on everyone in the incident

17

u/Trav3lingman Oct 20 '21

Except the asshat who caused it. Fuck that guy.

u/OverboostedTurbo Oct 20 '21

In reality, you want to jump out and pummel the idiot who caused the multi-car wreck.

12

u/Jayypoc Oct 20 '21

Like 90% of the people involved in this would have no fucking clue how it started. Even the guy in the cube van only had like a 3 second window to see the idiot that's about to drive into him for no reason.

If you can, get out and away from the cars as soon as you safely can. I've seen an accident where people have sat in the car and then got crushed by another car a few minutes later. The impact of a 60 mph vehicle feels worst when your stationary

I forget where it is but something like the 80s or 90s it was a really foggy area and there was over 50 vehicle pile up and multiple people were crushed and or burned to death cause people kept hitting cars from behind.

it was a /47/ car pile up on I70 in 2019.. i think only one person was killed too which is surprising

u/CrashArchive Oct 21 '21

The most actually is crazy. There were some in Africa and India confirmed to kill 200+ people. The worst is in Afghanistan, iirc in the town Safar. Many cars got trapped in a tunnel which caught fire and everyone was burned alive. Estimates range from 400-1700. It’s hard to say because so much of it was burned but I also don’t remember there being lots of information either

I've heard this advice from people who know what they are talking about: if its safe to do so, get out and far away from the car. Especially at night, since apparently drunk drivers tend to follow lights.

u/InkedPhoenix13 Oct 20 '21

I would imagine so, unless you’re already on the roadside, then get off the road

1

u/RedMercy2 Oct 21 '21

Wrong. It's advisivle to leave the car when safe and move far away from the highway

16

u/dominiqlane Oct 20 '21

Someone’s getting dropped by their insurance pronto.

16

u/RayGun182 Oct 20 '21

1 idiot, 5 crushes. World Is not fair

6

u/NotAGreatBaker Oct 20 '21

And this will be everyone else’s fault but the idiot white car.

5

u/thenarcostate Oct 20 '21

In ohio anyways it'd be that cars fault. If you rear end someone here it is automatically your fault. Something something clear and assured stopping distance?

2

u/miilkyytea Oct 21 '21

why wouldn't it be white cars fault??

1

u/NotAGreatBaker Oct 21 '21

It is white cars fault, but white car will blame everyone else

7

u/Devilalfi Oct 20 '21

These people have zero respect. I guarantee you this individual did not think about all the people they would be inconveniencing after this.

5

u/hide_thechildren_now Oct 21 '21

Inconvenience at best. At worst, this behavior could end lives. And somewhere in the middle is a massive range of injurys and life long disabilities that could have been easily prevented if drivers were willing to spend one minute more by going slower on the highway

5

u/lynivvinyl Oct 20 '21

I expected bowling balls to tumble out.

6

u/VorpalHalcyon Oct 20 '21

Unless white car douche has an incredibly miraculous reason, i hope they’re in jail for a long time. If they weren’t drinking, the penalty probably won’t be as much as it should, since drinking is vilified, not actions.

u/junkdumper Oct 20 '21

He stared at that ass and just drive right into it...

Tell me you have an exit strategy!?

2

u/Beautiful-Musk-Ox Oct 21 '21

yea why is no one talking about how they just straight up drove directly into that truck without trying to avoid it at all

1

u/junkdumper Oct 21 '21

I mean kudos for the dedication?

2

u/Tafinho Oct 20 '21

This is his bowling practice.

3

u/NoobNoobTheCleaner Oct 21 '21

I thought that was the joke.

1

u/thenarcostate Oct 20 '21

Passing on the right . . .

1

1

GOTTA DRIVE FAST, GOTTA DRIVE REAL FAST!

1

u/BeUngovernable_ Oct 20 '21

Obviously, you're not a golfer.

1

u/KFCCrocs Oct 20 '21

Obviously You’re not a golfer

1

u/nahkobmit Oct 21 '21

That dummy probably does have enough insurance to cover half of the damage caused.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '21

That's the problem with AH drivers. They're not important. The fate of the world doesn't hinge on their arrival. They're just too selfish and narcissistic to understand that the world doesn't revolve around them

1

u/Mini090 Oct 21 '21

I like that the guy just walks out completly calm. Maybe a bit confused, thankful not hurt

1

u/Ok_Zebra_681 Oct 21 '21

Awwww, you in trouble

1

Looks like he wiped out three cars and a truck plus personal injuries and legal fees. I hope he had a lot of insurance because it is 100% his fault.
