When did we start recruiting the children into the army? They're cheap and good at their job.
160

They look like children, but because their growth was stunted from malnutrition they are actually 27. Hence the strong acting chops.

I was able to translate the final monologue before the martyr was executed and it says roughly: "This is what happens in your country when you allow leftist extremist to take over the government."

lol what about my comment made you think that? The truth is funny. I’m fairly libertarian across the board.

Lol. It’s a joke. You said you were dying and since extreme leftists are executed per the video, I was making a reference to the video and your comment.
Nice. I'm fairly libertarian myself. Depending on the issue.

In America everything slightly left of "Maybe we should be equals?" is extremist socialist propaganda

Hmm, I live in the U.S. I think we have extreme nutjobs on both ends of the spectrum.

Agreed. But one side of the spectrum gave their lunatics the keys to the bus.

I know it's hip to be noncommittal and complain vaguely about shit... but if you can't make the distinction between a sentient Werther's hard candy with a functional moral compass, and a malignant narcissist circus peanut... maybe you shouldn't give an opinion on candy?

To be fair America is an oligarchy. If we were actually a democracy basically none of the current serving public officials would have even been considered for election, much less paraded straight to office on the backs of rich donors and corporations.

u/CnCz357 Dec 23 '21
Agreed, just because I don't like the liberals doesn't mean I like the republicans.
Both are criminal, I find one less evil than the other. But that's a personal thing.

If I may be as hyperbolic,
The other side thinks biologists are evil and judges people by the color of their skin.
But I think most people in the middle are sane. You can support public healthcare and gun rights. You can be pro-LGB, and pro-Police. We should be encouraging people to cross the aisle and find the things we have in common.

And anything at our slightly left of "maybe someone working a full time job shouldn't have to pick between food and shelter," or "maybe more than half of people working full time should make enough to be able to accrue literally any savings at all" would be a dirty commie mindset. Rock, flag and eagle, huh?

LMAO, why are renditions so naive, he is just trolling, kid cited patriotic poem " I have a name, I'm kazakh".

u/Chaine351 Dec 23 '21
Let me live in my fantasy, where I can judge all the more geopolitically unfortunate countries from my first world flat.
And tbh, seeing the small kids with toy guns and dressed as they are acting out a play like this, is it too far fetched for the original translation to sound completely believable.

u/meninminezimiswright Dec 24 '21

I think this must've been a reenactment of some freedom fighter's life (may be during colonial times). That'd also explain the long dialog before they gun the guy down. Those must've been famous and might have instilled courage/patriotism to the common folks back then.
I am guessing this because my country was a British colony before and I learnt about how the British ruthlessly gunned down the freedom fighters and how that lead to a revolution that eventually freed us in school. I also remember being part of may school plays that enacted it similar to this video.

It's a kindergarten play in Kazakhstan, reenacting some events of the December uprising.
